Hichem Cherabi bat le record d’Algérie et Arabe du saut à la perche en sautant à 5.50m au meeting international de Zweibrücken en Allemagne.
Hicham à peine 22 ans, affirmait depuis le début de saison se sentir capable de battre le record d’Algérie de la spécialité vieux de trente six ans (5.34m) détenu par l’athlète Lakhdar Rahal, réalisé à Paris depuis le 4 juin 1979 .C'est à "Westpfalzstadion Zweibrücken statt" que Hicham est entré dans l'histoire, dimanche 14 juin en faisant tomber le record d’Algérie à deux reprises,d'abord en franchissant la barre des 5.40m dès le premier essai et ensuite 5.50m au deuxième essai.

Hichem Cherabi beats the Algeria and Arab records in pole vault, jumping 5.50m in Zweibrücken ,Germany. Hicham only 22 years, affirm since the beginning of season feel able to break this record that lasted for thirty six years (5.34m) held by athlete Lakhdar Rahal, made in Paris in 4 June 1979 .  It has been in "Westpfalzstadion Zweibrücken statt", Hicham that entered history on Sunday 14 June by breaking the Algerian pole vault record twice time , first in crossing the high of 5.40m at the first attempt and finally 5.50m in the second attempt..
