CARL LEWIS ET LA LEGENDE AMERICAINE MIKAEL PHELPS EN ARABIE SAOUDITE.

L'ancien athlete Carl Lewis et son compatriote le nageur Mikael Phelps sont arrivés lundi soir a la capitale Saoudienne Riyadh pour participer au troisieme " International global competitivness forum" placé sous l'egide de l'organisation nationale saoudienne d'investissement qui se déroulera du 25 au 28/01/2009 a Riyadh , où sera débattu le role du sport et sa concurrence dans l'investissement.
Carl Lewis a été aussi accueilli au siège de la fédération saoudienne d'athlétisme à Riyadh par le président le prince Nouaf Bin Mohamed , ainsi que par le prince Sultan Bin Fahd à son siège du comite olympique.
Carl Lewis avait marqué durablement deux disciplines de l'athletisme(100m et la longueur.) durant sa carriere sportive , il a remporté dix médailles olympiques dont neuf en or ainsi que dix medailles aux differents championnats du monde d'athletisme dont huit en or.
Par contre, le nageur Mikael Phelps , surnomé aussi Glouton du Michigan, il crée la grande surprise aux J.O. de Pekin 2008 et entre dans la légende du sport en remportant huit médailles d'or sur huit sur huit épreuves , il devient alors l'athlete le plus titré de l'histoire des jeux olympiques avec un total de quatorze médailles d'or.

The former athlete Carl Lewis and his compatriot Mikael Phelps arrived Monday evening the Saudi capital Riyadh to attend the third International Competitivness global forum "under the aegis of the Saudi National Investment to be held from 28/01/2009 at 25 in Riyadh, which will be debated the role of sport and competition in investment.
Carl Lewis was also welcomed at the headquarters of the Saudi athletics federation to Riyadh by President Prince Nouaf Bin Mohamed and by Prince Sultan Bin Fahd to his seat Olympic Committee.
Carl Lewis had marked sustained two disciplines of athletics (100m and long jump.) During his athletic career, he won ten medals including nine Olympic gold medals and ten to the various world championships in athletics, including eight gold.
As against the swimmer Phelps Mikael, also-called "Glouton of Michigan", it creates great surprise to Beijing Olympics 2008 and enters the sporting legend in winning eight gold medals in eight out of eight tests, then it is the athlete the most successful of the Olympic Games with a total of fourteen gold medals.

23-01-2009/Meeting de Potchefsroom -(RSA)

Le champion du monde en salle et vice champion olympique de l'annee 2008.Khotso Mokoena vient d'entamer sa rentree 2009 avec une marque a 8.15 m en plein air chez lui lors du meeting international en nocturne de Potchefsroom en Afrique du sud . Ce resultat constitue la meilleure performance mondiale en plein air jusqu'a present pour l'annee 2009 . Il est a noter aussi que le calendrier internationl en competitions indoor est encore a son plein où on enregistre jusqu'a present la meilleure performance a 7.96m pour Roman Novotny (CZE.) et 6.67m pour la Russe Olga Kucherenko realisees toutes les deux au 24 -01-2009.

DAMMAM.(KSA)/CHAMPIONNAT REGIONAL INTER-CLUBS JUNIORS

Qateef : le 21-22 / 01 /2009.

Le championnat inter-clubs a reuni les meilleurs clubs de la region de Dammam (Region Est du royaume d'Arabie Saoudite.).
Les clubs sont : Safa club-Noor-Khaleej-Madar-Khuwaldia-Jubail-Rastanoura-Hadaa-Hidaya et Ibtissam.
La premiere place du classement general est revenue au club Safa suivi de Madar club et puis du Khaleej club.
En individuel , on notera encore le resultat de l'athlete cadet du club Al Safa : Mohamed Al Yasseen au saut en longueur avec un saut a 7.05m.

RECOMPENSES POUR AL KHUWAILDI ET AL SABEA.

En reconnaissance pour leurs resultats et leurs representations honorables durant l'annee 2008 lors des differentes manifestations sportives internationales ,les deux athletes d'elite du saut en longueur :Mohamed Al Khuwaildi et Hussein Al Sabea ont ete recompenses le mercredi dernier a l'hotel Sheraton de Dammam par l'homme d'affaires Saoudien connu dans le domaine du mouvement sportif national Sheikh Faycal Ben Mohamed (Abou Mansour.).
Il est a rappeler que Mohamed Al Khuwaildi a fait troisieme au championnat du monde indoor 2008 a Valence et premier au championnat d'Asie indoor 2008 a Doha en battant le record d'Asie en salle avec 8.24 m , et termine troisieme a la finale du Gand Prix 2008/ IAAF.a Stuttgart.Pour le Top list mondial 2008 il a occupe la quatrieme place avec 8.37 m.
L'athlete Hussein Al Sabea a fait un exellent parcours concernant sa participation a la Golden league 2008,en gagnant trois etapes : Berlin ,Oslo et Zurich, et en finale il termine deuxieme.Sur la liste mondiale 2008 il se positionne a la sixieme place avec 8.35m.

AWARDS FOR SAUDI LONG JUMPERS : AL KHUWAILDI AND AL SABEA.

In recognition for their results and their honorable representations during 2008 at several international competitions , both elite long jumpers : Mohamed Al Khuwaildi and Hussein Al Sabea were honored last Wednesday at Dammam Sheraton Hotel by Saudi businessman known in the area of national sports movement Sheikh Faycal Ben Mohamed (Abu Mansour).
It should be recalled that Mohamed Al Khuwaildi was third at the world indoor championships in Valencia 2008 and the first at Asian Indoor Championship Doha 2008 , beating the indoor Asian record with 8.24 m and finished third at the final IAAF Gand Prix Stuttgart 2008 . In the Top world lists 2008, he occupies the fourth place with 8.37 m.
Hussein Al Sabea has done an excellent course on its participation in the Golden League 2008, winning three stages: Berlin, Oslo and Zurich, and in final in Stuttgart he finished in second place.In the Top world list 2008 he is positioned in sixth place with 8.35m.
