Salim Sdiri vient d'établir la meilleure performance mondiale de l'année au saut en longueur en salle, en réalisant 8,24 m lors des championnats de France, samedi à Paris , avant deux semaines des Mondiaux en salle de Doha , du 12 au 14 mars.
Le concours a vu une grande rivalité entre les deux compatriotes Sdiri et Kafétien Gomis dès les premiers essais. Gomis confirme sa formidale combativité jusqu'au dernier essai avec superbe saut à 8.21m qui le place aussi en deuxième position mondiale.

Salim Sdiri has made the best world performance in long jump of the year with 8.24m at the indoor championships of France in Paris on the last Saturday, two weeks before the iaaf world Indoor championships in Doha from 12 to March 14.
The competition had a great rivalry from the start to the end between the two french athletes ; Sdiri and Kafétien Gomis who confirms his formidable fighting until his last attempt with a superb jumping 8.21m . This performance places him also in the second position in the world.
