KSA ATHLETICS: 1 PODIUM ET 5 BILLETS POUR SINGAPOUR LORS DES SELECTIONS ASIATIQUES POUR LES JEUX OLYMPIQUES JEUNES (YOG 2010) - 22-23/05/2010

Sélections Asiatiques des Jeux Olympiques Jeunes : Singapour 22-23/05/2010.
Ils seront donc six Garçons .L'Arabie Saoudite sera representé avec six cadets pour prendre part aux premiers Jeux Olympiques des Jeunes à Singapour du 17 au 23 août prochain. Six athlètes ont décroché le précieux billet lors des sélections asiatiques qui viennent de se dérouler du 22 au 23 mai à Singapour. Hussain Al Khalaf s'est qualifié au triple saut et gagne le premier billet de la délégation pour les JOJ de Singapour au mois d'août prochain. Les autres athlètes sont ; Abkar Abdullah qui gagne le podium du 400m plat , Al Ghamdi Ali Aedh au 400m haies, Al Asiri Abdullah au 200m, Abdullah Ibrahim Essa au 3000m plat et enfin Burhan Ahmed au 2000m steeple.Deux autres athlètes ont raté la qualification de justesse. Au concours du saut en longueur, le cadet Alsharfa Hashim n'a pu parvenir à décrocher sa qualification en terminant quatrième, alors qu'il pouvait facilement prendre la troisième place. Il a fait un concours chaotique loin de son propre record de 7.23m , c'est dommage pour lui. Al Haydar Nader Ahmed lui aussi a rate une qualification probable au 110m haies s'il n'avait pas trainé avec une blessure à la cheville survenue à l'echauffement juste avant le départ. Malgré ça il a terminé troisième avec un record personnel en 13.81 avec trois centième seulement de la deuxième place qualificative.

ASIAN AREA QUALIFICATION FOR YOG 2010 - SINGAPORE 22-23/05/2010.

Saudi Arabia will be represented with six boys to take part in the first Youth Olympics games in Singapore from August 17 to 23 - 2010. Six athletes have won the precious ticket in Asian qualification from May 22 to 23 in Singapore. Hussain Al Khalaf qualified in the triple jump and won the first ticket of the delegation for the YOG in Singapore on 17-23 August. Other athletes are; Abkar Abdullah who won the 400m flat podium, Al Ghamdi Ali Aedh in 400m hurdles, Al Asiri Abdullah in 200m, Abdullah Ibrahim Essa in 3000m and finally, Burhan Ahmed in 2000m steeplechase .Two other athletes have failed to qualify narrowly. In the long jump, Al sharfa Hashim has been able to stall his qualification but finishing fourth, when he could easily take third place. It was a chaotic result far from his own record of 7.23m. Haydar Al Ahmed Nader also hasn't been qualified in 110m hurdles because he contracted an ankle injury occurred in the warm up just before start. Despite that he finished third with a personal best 13.81 with only three hundredths of the second qualifying place.
