SDIRI PULVERISE LE RECORD DE FRANCE AU SAUT EN LONGUEUR A PIERRE-BENITE.

Tout le monde connait Salim Sdiri après son accident qui a failli lui coûtait la vie le mois de juillet 2007 lors du meeting de la Golden League de Rome où il avait été transpercé au bord du sautoir en longueur par un javelot lancé par l'athlète Finlandais Tero Pitkamaki.
Le 12-06-2009, après presque deux anneés passeés , Salim Sdiri vient de de réaliser une superbe performance en longueur en pulvérisant le record de France avec 8.42m (+0.4), lors du meeting de Pierre-Bénite (Rhône).L'ancien record était détenu par l'athlète Kader Klouchi depuis 1998 avec 8.30m . Salim devient le troisième performer mondial de la saison derrière L'Américain Dwight Phillips (8.74m) et le Panameen Irving Saladino (8.63m).

Everybody knows Salim Sdiri after his accident that nearly cost him life in July 2007 during the Golden League meeting in Rome where he had been pierced at the edge of the long jump pit by a javelin, throwed by the Finnish athlete Tero Pitkamaki.
On 12-06-2009, after almost two years, Salim Sdiri , achieve a superb performance in long jump by pulverizing the French record with 8.42m (+0.4) at the meeting of Pierre-Bénite (Rhône).The old record was held by Kader Klouchi since 1998 with 8.30m. Salim became the third performer of the season world behind American Dwight Phillips (8.74m) and Panamanian Irving Saladino (8.63m).

Médaillé d'or aux jeux olympiques de 2004 et deux fois champion du monde en plein air, Dwight Phillips a connu la saison dernière une série d'échecs qui lui a coûté une absence totale aux Jeux de Pékin 2008.Cette saison les choses semblent avoir changées car depuis sa première apparition au GP international de la Guadeloupe ( 1-05-2009 ) il inscrit une belle performance de 8.51m en lançant un defi trés sérieux pour la suite de la saison en enregistrant un mois aprés un "season best" à 8.54m à Hengelo (1-06-2009). Ce dimanche 7 juin au "Nike Prefontaine Classic de Hayward Field sur le campus de l'Université de l'Oregon à Eugene", Phillips vient de battre son propre record avec un impressionant saut à 8.74m(-1.2m/s.) et passe en leadership devant le champion olympique Irving Saladino qui términe deuxième derrière lui. A 31 ans , il passe à la 5ème meilleure place de tous les temps aprés: Mike Powell (8.95m - 1991) ,Bob Beamon (8.90m - 1968),Carl Lewis (8.87m -1991), Robert Emmiyan (8.86m - 1987),et en ex aequo avec ses compatriotes Larry Myricks (8.74m - 1988), et Erick Walder (8.74m - 1994).

Olympic gold medalist in 2004 and two time world champion outdoors, Dwight Phillips has seen the last season a series of failures that cost him a total absence in Beijing 2008.This season things seem to have changed because since his first appearance in international GP of Guadeloupe (1-05-2009) he recorded a fine performance of 8.51m in launching a serious challenge for the remainder of the season recording a months after a best season with 8.54m to Hengelo (1-06-2009). This Sunday, June 7 at the "Nike Prefontaine Classic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene," Phillips came to broke his own record with an impressive jump of 8.74m (-1.2m / s) and pass the leadership before the Olympic champion Irving Saladino who finishes second behind him.
31 years old, he takes the 5th best place of all time after: Mike Powell (8.95m - 1991), Bob Beamon (8.90m - 1968), Carl Lewis (8.87m -1991), Robert Emmiyan (8.86m -- 1987),and with Larry Myricks (8.74m - 1988), Erick Walder (8.74m - 1994).

Pour sa première rentrée de la saison, Irving Saladino, champion olympique en titre, a été encore une fois supérieur à ses concurrents au meeting (FBKG Hengelo NED. ) du 1 Juin 2009.
avec un excellent saut en longueur mesuré à 8.56m (+0.8m/s), meilleure performance mondiale de la saison.
Saladino n'a pas tort de revenir sur le même sautoir, là où il a déjà réalisé son magnifique record personnel de 8.73m qui le plaçait au septième rang de tous les temps.

Saladino is not wrong to return to the same long jump pit , where he has already made his magnificent personal record of 8.73m which placed him seventh of all time.

LA FEDERATION SAOUDIENNE D'ATHLETISME PASSE AUX ECHEANCES INTERNATIONALES 2009.

La saison sportive 2008-2009 arrive à sa fin et va observer une trêve estivale comme d'habitude relativement longue à cause du climat trés chaud et humide où souvent les températures maximales avoisinent les 48 degrés Celsius durant les mois de juillet et d'août.
Les compétitions du calendrier national viennent d'être achevées vers la fin du mois de mai.Maintenant toute la concentration est mise sur les grandes échéances internationales : le championnat du monde cadets du 8-12 juillet/Bressanone (ITA) et le championnat du monde seniors du 15-23 aout/Berlin (GER).
Il est à signaler que neuf athlètes en catégorie senior ont déjà realisés les minimas du championnat du monde dans les épreuves suivantes : deux au 5000m (A), deux au saut en longueur (A),un au 800m (A),un au 1500m (A), un au poids (A),un au disque (B) et un au 400m (B).Chez les jeunes cadets, la fédération prévoit une vingtaine d'athlètes.

The 2008-2009 athletics season comes to the end and will observe a summer break as usual relatively long because of the climate very hot and humid where temperatures often around 48 degrees Celsius during the months of July and August.
The competitions of the national calendar has just been completed by the end of the month of may.Now, whole concentration is on major international competitions: the World Youth Championship -July 8-12 / Bressanone (ITA) and World Championship for men - August 15-23 / Berlin (GER).
It should be noted that nine men athletes have already achieved the standards for the World Championship in the following events : two in 5000m (A), two long jump (A), one in 800m (A), one in 1500 (A), one in shot put (A), one in discus throw (B) and one in 400m (B). In youth categorie, the federation provides twenty athletes.

A Belém, Reese retrouve sa forme et inscrit encore une magnifique victoire avec un saut à 7.06m (0,7).

The American Brittney Reese dominates the long jump at GP Athletics of Rio (Brazil), she achieves the best world performance of the year by beating the Olympic champion in Beijing 2008, the Brazilian Maurren Maggi. In Belém, Reese found his form again and recorded a magnificent victory with a jump at 7.06m (0.7).
She is the third American to have achieved this performance, which puts her behind Jackie Joyner-Kersee with 7.49 m (1994), and Marion Jones with 7.31 m (1998).

Le meeting Mohammed VI d 'Athlétisme est l'une des réunions de l'IAAF qui rentre dans le circuit du world athletics tour 2009.
Le Marocain Yahya Berrabah s'est bien montré supérieur avec une trés belle performance au saut en longueur avec un saut à 8.38m (+0.6),en améliorant le record national de son compatriote Younes Moudrik de 8.34m réalisé à Alger lors du championnat d'Afrique 2000.
Berrabah, agé de 27 ans, réalise la deuxième meilleure performance mondiale de la saison en battant le vice champion olympique et champion du monde en indoor le Sud africain , Godfrey Khosto Mokoena (8.17m) et l'Américain Miguel Pate (8.05m).

The Mohammed VI Athletics meeting is one of the the circuit of the IAAF world athletics tour 2009.
The Moroccan BERRABAH Yahya has shown higher with a great performance in the long jump: 8.38m (+0.6), improving the record of his compatriot Younes Moudrik of 8.34m realised in Algiers during the African championship in 2000.
BERRABAH, 27 years old , produces the second best world performance of the season by beating the vice Olympic champion and indoor world champion, the South African Khosto Godfrey Mokoena (8.17m) and the American Miguel Pate (8.05m).
