Excellente prestation internationale pour Gouaned au 800m à Bydgoszcz / 3-06-2022 (POL)

Après la période d’absence suite à un problème d’une blessure, l’athlète Gouaned Mohamed Ali, le vice-champion du monde du 800m des U20 en 2021, fait son retour en force sur la scène internationale à sa première compétition qui va lui permettre de suivre sa préparation en toute sécurité. Il vient de rejoindre ses trois meilleurs compatriotes ayant déjà descendu sous la barrière de 1:45.00 pour signer sa meilleure performance de la saison et son deuxième chrono après presque une année, en 1:44.45 à Nairobi (KEN) en Aout 2021 (minima olympique) et 1:44.67 à Bydgoszcz (POL) le 03 juin 2022.

Actuellement, une bonne densité réalisée au 800m qui répond aux critères de participation au niveau international en vue des objectifs principaux de la saison.

La sélection des athlètes est devenue assez large en raison de la qualité très appréciable des performances réalisées récemment par nos athlètes au 800m par rapport au reste des autres différentes épreuves et surtout du demi-fond et fond où peu d’athlètes sont retenus.

Avant quelques semaines des grands rendez-vous de la saison, la présence de quatre athlètes Algériens au 800m au top 20 mondial avec une moyenne de temps de 1:44.56 qui représente sur son échelle la huitième meilleure performance de la saison jusqu’à présent. Les représentants de notre demi-fond au 800m auront au moins des chances pour briller ou de bien figurer dans les prochaines échéances internationales. En revanche du côté des filles c’est le vide et cela montre que le fond et demi-fond Algérien sont en réelle difficulté.

 After an absence period of following an injury problem, Gouaned Mohamed Ali, the U20 800m world vice-champion in 2021, is making a strong comeback on the international scene in his first competition which will allow him to follow his preparation in complete safety. He has just joined his three best compatriots who have already broken the barrier of 1:45.00 to sign his best season result and his second time after almost a year, in 1:44.45 in Nairobi (KEN) in August 2021 (Olympic minima) and 1:44.67 in Bydgoszcz (POL) on 03 June, 2022.

Currently, a good density achieved in the 800m which fulfills the criteria for participation at the international level towards of the main season objectives.

The selection of athletes has become quite wide due to the very appreciable quality of the performances recently achieved by our athletes in the 800m compared to the rest of the other different events and especially the middle distance and long distance where few athletes are selected. A few weeks before the major events of the season, the presence of four Algerian athletes in the 800m in the world (top 20) with an average time of 1:44.56 which represents on its scale the eighth best performance of the season till now. The representatives of our middle distance in the 800m will at least have a chance to shine or to appear well in the next international competitions. In contrast, on the girls side, it is empty and this shows that the Algerian long distance and middle distance are in real difficulty.
