L'athlète Abdullah Abkar a vraiment démontré du talent au cours de de sa première participation de la saison en indoor. Après la qualification déjà des athlètes Ahmed Khadar Al Moaled (60m haies) et Mazen Al Yasseen (400m), reste un grand potentiel pour la participation de l'équipe de relais du 4 x 400m et attendre aussi la forte chance de la qualification de l'athlète Tariq Al Amri au 3000 m, le tour est venu pour Abdullah Abkar Mohamed et vient rejoindre ses compatriotes en réalisant les minima du 60m plat pour les championnats du monde d’athlétisme de Birmingham. Une performance qu’il a réalisée au meeting de Houston Invitational le 26 janvier 2018. On note que Abdullah Abkar s’entraine avec le groupe d'athlètes du coach américain John Smith en Californie.
